How Can soreness And Burning Sensation In The Throat Be Treated?
I drank ginger tea that I made from boiling fresh ginger that night I woke with throat and mouth extremely sore and burning. After three days it seemed better, today I have a fever and flu symptoms I ate some fresh pineapple and immediately my back of mouth burns and has red spots as well as a red lump on either side of mouth. It s a burning scratchy feeling. I still have a low grade fever and body aches.
The sore and burning mouth is due to flu. Viral infection causes inflammation of your mouth.
If you eat acidic foods like pineapple and hot fluids (perhaps the ginger tea was too hot), they will aggravate the inflammation causing you to feel the burning sensation more.
Avoid acidic foods, hot and freeze drinks. Apply glycerin of borax locally on oral mucosa.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
